Frozen Burger Patty

My kids really love snacking on burgers. Their favorite is from McDonald's, but since there's no outlet in TanjungPinang, they can only enjoy it when visiting Batam.
So, as a considerate wife, I try to meet my husband's needs (haha). I peeked at recipes here and there and, with the ingredients available at home, I made these burger patties.
Let's recook... happy cooking! 😘

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the ingredients so you don't forget anything.
- 2
Cut the meat into cubes and freeze it. Then put it in a chopper, coarsely chop some of it and finely chop the rest with the other ingredients.
- 3
Mix the coarsely chopped meat in the chopper with the sliced onion and breadcrumbs, chop until smooth. Then add pepper, oregano, black pepper sauce, broth powder, and egg. Chop until well mixed.
- 4
Once smooth and even, transfer the mixture to a bowl and mix with the previously chopped meat. Stir well. You can test the taste by taking a small amount of the mixture and cooking it on a non-stick pan.
- 5
Since the taste test was not salty enough, I added 1/4 teaspoon of fine salt. I also had some cheddar cheese, so I crushed 2 slices and added them to the mixture. Mix the dough by hand to ensure the salt is evenly distributed.
- 6
Once mixed, cover your hands with plastic and lightly oil them. Take 2 tablespoons of the mixture, roll it into a ball, then flatten it.
- 7
Heat a non-stick pan and add a little margarine. Once it's really hot, place the flattened patty on the pan. It's best to shape the patty and cook it immediately. Since I want to freeze these patties after cooking, I only cook each side for 1-2 minutes.
- 8
Once both sides are slightly browned, remove the patty and let it cool. After cooling, wrap each side of the patty with plastic to prevent sticking. Store in a large plastic bag and freeze. When you want a burger, just take it out of the freezer, let it sit at room temperature for a bit, and cook it with a little butter/margarine.

Macrobiotic Soy Meat Burger Patties Macrobiotic Soy Meat Burger Patties
I wanted to make a healthy meal using soy meat.Since the mixture doesn't become very sticky, it might be difficult to bring together but letting it rest in the refrigerator will make it easier to work with. The photos show burgers, but you can use this to stuff bell peppers or shiitake mushrooms as well.Since it will harden while in the refrigerator, you can also form them into meatballs. Great for casual meals where you can shape the patties into small bites . If it's for dinner, turn into round patties, slice some cucumbers, onions, tomatoes and then combine it with your favorite sauce (chili and tomato sauces works fine) and you're good to go. Healthy One-Dish Cooking Marsha M
