Ingredients

  • 1 cupwheat flour
  • 2 tbspButter
  • 1 tbspCardamom powder
  • 1 tbspOil
  • 1 tbspSugar
  • pinchsalt
  • 1 tbspcurd
  • as requiredwater
  • as requiredOil & ghee for deep frying
  • ForSugar Syrup-
  • 1 cupsugar
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cupwater
  • 1 tbspGreen cardamom

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl add butter, curd, sugar, & salt beat well.
    Then add wheat flour, cardamom powder & oil mix well.

  2. 2

    Add water mix well, knead & make soft smooth dough.
    Then cover it & leave it for 5 mins.

  3. 3

    Divide the dough into equal size balls. Then press gently in the middle of the balls like doughnuts

  4. 4

    Heat oil & ghee in a pan, put pieces one by one & deep fry on medium flame.
    Once fried flip over & cook another side.

  5. 5

    Once it’s turned light brown take it out. Drain on an absorbent paper

  6. 6

    Add sugar & water in a pan mix gently & let it dissolve.
    Then let it boil till you get one string consistency.

  7. 7

    Immediately place into the sugar syrup & leave it for 30 mins.
    Then take it out & cool it at room temperature.
