Steps
- 1
Take milk, sugar, elaichi powder and oil and keep it to boil. As it boils switch off the gas and keep it to cool for some time.It should be a little warm.
- 2
Then take this milk mixture in a big bowl. Add 2 small cups of wheat flour and 3 small cups maida. Add pinch of salt. Mix everything well. If it's too soft u can add in more maida till it binds firmly. The dough should not be hard and not too soft.
- 3
Keep it covered for 15 mins. Then roll into thick rotis and cut into pieces. Keep oil for frying. As oil gets hot keep the flame slow. Fry the shakarpare pieces till nice golden in colour. Remove in a bowl and let it cool completely. Store in airtight container. Yummy and crispy shakarpare is ready.
