Ingredients

  • 1 cupmaida or all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tbspsalted butter
  • 1/2 cuppowdered sugar
  • 1/2 tspwhole cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tspbaking powder
  • 1/4 tspsalt
  • 2 tbspmilk

    In a bowl, mix butter and sugar together. Beat the mixture till it becomes creamy and silky.

    Once butter and sugar is done, mix flour, baking powder, salt and cumin seeds together. Add milk into it. Make a dough out of the mixture. Add milk little by little. Do not add too much milk. Do not knead it. Keep it aside for 10 mins.

    Now take small portion from the dough and make a ball out of it. Press it gently and shape it like peda. Take a baking tray and place a butter paper on the tray. Arrange all cookies.

    Preheat the oven at 180 degree celcius or 350 degree fahrenheit. Check it once after 15 mins. If it’s not completely done then bake it for another 5 mins. Take it from oven and cool it down. Enjoy the biscuits with a cup of tea of coffee.
