Grilled Steaks with Compound Spread

I usually use actual butter but I read that it has water in it. So I used ghee, which is clarified butter without water. I think butter is cheaper and more flavorful. So next time I will use the butter.
Grilled Steaks with Compound Spread
I usually use actual butter but I read that it has water in it. So I used ghee, which is clarified butter without water. I think butter is cheaper and more flavorful. So next time I will use the butter.
Steps
- 1
Get the ghee at room temperature. Add the spices mash and mix together.
- 2
Make into a square cake and refrigerate.
- 3
Start the fire outside on the grill.
- 4
Season the steak coat with the olive oil, salt, and pepper. Cut the onion in half. Add olive oil and salt.
- 5
Add steaks to the grill and the onion cut side down. Turn as needed. I rotated the onion a quarter turn.
- 6
When the steaks are done add the compound spread one tablespoon per steak to the top of each steak.
- 7
Cut the onions and cut the steak and serve I hope you enjoy!!!!
