Ingredients

  1. 500 gmpotato
  2. 200 gmgram flour
  3. 2 inchginger
  4. 2 tablespoonkasuri methi
  5. to tasteSalt
  6. 1 teaspoonred chilli powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder
  8. 1onion (big in size)
  9. 2 pinchbaking soda
  10. 1/2 teaspoonmustard seeds
  11. Oil for frying

Cooking Instructions

    In a pressure cooker cook potatoes untill 2 whistle.after that mash boil potatoes in a bowl add salt,turmeric powder,kasuri methi,graded ginger,and red chilli powder mix it very well

    Now take a utensil heat 2 tablespoon of oil add mustard seeds cook it untill it crackle then add onion cook it untill it's become transparent.then add mixture of potatoes that we have prepared.keep in side

    Now take other bowl pour gram flour to it add salt,baking soda and turmeric powder add water and make a smooth batter.

    Now make small potato ball from the potato mixture and dip in gram flour batter and deep fry them on first high flame then low flame,fry untill their colour changes to golden

    Bata vada is ready to eat.serve with pav and red chutney
