Ingredients

15 minutes
2 servings
  1. For stuffing:
  2. 2 handfulAmaranthus leaves
  3. 1 tspmustard oil
  4. 1/4 tsppunch phoran
  5. 10-12 clovesgarlic
  6. 2green chilli
  7. Salt as per taste
  8. For making the dough:
  9. 1 cupwheat flour
  10. 1/5 tspsalt
  11. 1 tspoil
  12. Water as needed to make the dough
  13. For making paratha:
  14. as neededOil

Steps

  1. 1

    First of all prepare the dough by adding flour, Salt, oil and require amount of water to make a smooth dough and cover it for 15 minutes.

    Chop the garlic cloves and chilli.

    Chop the Amaranthus leaves and keep them aside.

  4. 4

    Heat a Kadai with oil and put the punch phoran in it and when they crackle then add the chopped garlic cloves in it.

    When they change their colour and the raw smell of garlic has gone then add the chopped kosala saga (Amaranthus leaves) in it along with salt.

    Fry them in medium flame till all the water has gone and the leaves are cooked.

    Make equal size balls from the dough and make bowl like shape of it.

    Then put some stuffing in it and close them and roll them like chapatis.

    Heat a tawa and put the stuffed paratha on it. Cook both the sides till light brown in colour in medium flame and add some oil on it. Flip the other side and and cook both the sides well.

    Now your kosala saga stuffed parathas are ready. Serve hot with curd or pickle or chutney.
