This is my grandma's recipe I make whenever we are late on finishing our bananas its so good I've never tried another recipe. I usually end up halving the recipe because my 2 year old rarely let's bananas get over ripe in our house. Cream cheese can be subbed for the sour cream but I highly recommend using sour cream!

Ingredients

  • Wet ingredients
  • 4over ripe bananas smashed
  • 1/2 Cbutter at room temp
  • 2eggs
  • 1 tspvanilla
  • 1/2 Csour cream
  • Dry ingredients
  • 1 1/2 Cflour
  • 1 tspbaking soda
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1 Csugar

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350°

  2. 2

    In a large bowl beat wet ingredients together with electric mixer.

  3. 3

    Sift dry ingredients in with wet and fold in until you have a smooth batter.

  4. 4

    Pour batter into a greased 1.5 quart baking dish.

  5. 5

    Bake for 1 hour and let cool before serving.

I would give this 10 stars! Real recipes from old recipe boxes and church cookbooks are the best. This bread was so moist and fluffy. Thanks for sharing. This is a must have recipe.
