Well I wanted something very simple because I was feeling lazy but wanted cake anyway. I saw the recipe in one of my whatsapp groups. Tried it and loved it, am keeping it.

Ingredients

  1. 125 gmargarine, softened
  2. 1 cupicing sugar
  3. 2Large eggs
  4. 1 tspvanilla essence
  5. 1/2 cupmilk
  6. 1and 1/2 cups self raising flour

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat your oven to 180°C and line your baking tins with baking paper

    In the bowl of your mixer cream sugar and butter till smooth and add your vanilla essence

  3. 3

    Add eggs one at a time, mixing well with the milk

  4. 4

    Add the flour and mix for 2 minutes

    Bake for 50-55minutes or check with your toothpick if it's done

I discovered my love for cooking a few years ago. Since eating out is expensive i figured i had some learning to do. Living in a very small town(i doubt it can even be called that) where you cant always find what you wanted also pushed me towards doing it on my own. I am Zimbabwean by the way.I think the internet is the best invention ever since i can look up recipes, try and modify them to suit my preferences. I love sampling dishes from different countries and of course stories behind them
