Anda chop or egg chop is yummy tea time snacks. In which eggs are stuffed and coated with spicy potato mixture and deep fried. It can be used as appetizer or party starter or tiffin option with onion slices and Chutney of your choice. Anda chop is a favourite street food item of Odisha.

Cooking Instructions

In a big mixing bowl mash potato with turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, carrom seed,chilli powder 1 tsp each, coriander leaves and salt to taste. Keep aside to later use.

Take another bowl,put 1 cup besan/ gram flour and remaining spices with salt and make a thick paste by adding water gradually.

Now take one boiled egg and wrap it with potato mixture and reapet the process for all egg.

Take oil in a kadai and put on flame and allow it to heat.

Then dip the wrapped egg in to the thick besan batter and deep fry in medium heat oil till it gets brown.

Now drain the egg chop on a kitchen towel or tissue paper to absorb the excess oil.

Now cut the egg chop in two halves and sprinkle black salt, pepper on top and serve with onion slices and Chutney of your choice.
