This is Bengali dish. In Bengali Posto means ( poppy seeds ) and Dim means ( Eggs ). In every Bengali house you will find this dish.

Steps

Soak poppy seeds for 5 minutes in lukewarm water. Then grind it with green chilli, ginger and salt. Make a fine paste. Keep aside.

Mean while wash the eggs and boiled it for 15 minutes. Once it is done. Cool it. Allow standing time for 3 minutes. Peel the skin of the eggs. Transfer to a plate and little slit the eggs. While frying eggs will not burst. Marinate the eggs with turmeric powder, salt and red chilli. Mix...well and keep aside.

Heat mustard oil in kadai. Fry marinate eggs for few minutes. Don't fry too much.It will become hard. The curry will not be tasty. Once it is done. Keep aside. In the same kadai add little mustard oil. Fry chopped onion till it become light brown in colour.

Then add little turmeric powder, poppy seeds paste. Mix...well till the raw smell of masala goes off. Let it boil for few minutes then add fried eggs. Cover and cook for 3 minutes or till it becomes slight gravy. Once it done. Open the lid and check it. If it is done

Transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped green chillies and Ready to serve with hot...Steam Rice or Chapati's
