2 ingredient Pasta

WARNING!! STOP emptying the shelves of dried pasta- I have you covered with a fresh pasta recipe that only needs two ingredients- plain flour and water. This fresh pasta takes 15 mins to make and is suitable for freezing so there is no excuse to stockpile pasta like it is going out of fashion! The pasta itself is suitable for vegans but not the accompanying sauce, as you can add whatever sauce you like to your pasta! have paired my pasta with a garlic, chilli, thyme and rosemary oil with king prawns, Parmesan, mixed fresh garden herbs and balsamic as I had the ingredients already but this works just as well with a simple garlic butter, basil and parmesan yummm! PS. a pasta roller is not required so no excuses people :). Happy pasta making! Recipe below and step by step video on my instagram @chloemilb

Steps
- 1
Put your flour in a mixing bowl and add a little water at a time, mixing as you go with your fingertips. Add the water slowly as you do not want the mixture to become sticky (however, if it does then rectify by adding a little more flour). Equally, if the mixture is still too dry to gather together in a ball then add a little more water.
- 2
Once gathered into a ball, put the dough on a floured surface and kneed for 5 minutes until elastic and shiny.
- 3
Roll out with a rolling pin to 2mm thick.
- 4
Dust the surface of your pasta with flour.
- 5
Loosely roll up from the bottom. Once rolled use a sharp knife to slice around 1/2 a cm thick segments.
- 6
Unroll your segments and toss in a little flour and set aside whilst making your desired sauce.
- 7
Once ready to cook, boil in water for two minutes only (any longer and the pasta will become sticky).
- 8
Add to your sauce and enjoy! (steps for my sauce in the vid).
