Apple cake
A great way to use up apples. A light summer cake.
Steps

Gather the ingredients

Peel and core the apples and cut into wedges. Cover with lemon juice to stop browning.

Set the oven to 180 degrees. Line and grease a cake tin.
- 4
Cut the butter into small pieces. Add to the flour and bicarbonate and mix until crumbly.
- 5
Add the sugar, vanilla, cinammon and eggs. Mix well.
- 6
Add the milk gradually until consistency of honey.
- 7
Pour half the mixture into the tin. Add a layer of apple slices then the rest of the mixture and then more apples on top
- 8
Bake for 45 -55 minutes until golden brown on top and cooked through
