Wash chickpeas and soak them in water overnight. The next morning drain out the water and put it in the pressure cooker. Add cinnamon sticks and cook for 20 minutes.

Add oil in the pan. Temper it with sugar.

Make paste of tomato and onion. First put Chana in the pan. Then add the masala paste of tomato and onion.

Add turmeric powder and salt then cook it for few minutes.

After a while, add cumin powder and garam masala powder. Cook in low flame for few minutes.

Add water in the pan. Cook till the gravy becomes thick.

Then sprinkle chana masala powder and squeeze some lemon juice.

Mix everything and serve.
