Mint Milk

Gary Waite
Gary Waite @cook_20376404

My own invention that I made and tried - enjoyed - for the first time in 2019.
Their are different types and flavours of the Herb Mint,I have loads of Peppermint Mint that I grow in the back garden in fairly large containers on the back spacious Patio.
Pasteurized Cow Milk can be quite bland too drink, but infused with One type of Mint the Pasteurized Milk becomes tasty and very refreshing - and you can make homemade mint Ice-cream from it - a mint milk - egg yolk custard based Ice-cream.

Steps

  1. 1

Fill a very large metal Mixing Bowl with lots of Cold tap water and then using a small pair of finger scissors cut 3 quarters off of each Mint stem and then place immediately in the Cold tap water, collect the Mint from 3 big Plastic Pots of the Mint, only Mint in each One of the big pots, add Bicarbonate of Soda to the Mint in the Cold tap water and then after One hour - drain and rinse in Cold tap water over the Kitchen Sink

  2. 2

Leave just the Cold water washed raw Mint in the very large metal Mixing Bowl and then pour 8 Pints of Pasteurized Cow Milk over the top and then place Clingfilm over the top of the metal Mixing Bowl and then allow too infuse overnight and then have another large metal Mixing Bowl too use and a Flour Sieve. Place some of the raw water washed Mint in a Tefal Food Processor and add 4 Ladles of milk and then blitz blend and then pass through the Flour Sieve over the large metal Mixing Bowl

  3. 3

Ladle the homemade Mint milk into a Siphon over the top of the empty 4 Pint Plastic Milk Container and then fill up too the top and then place the Plastic Lid Cap over the top and then store in the Fridge. Do the same with another empty 4 Pint Plastic Milk Container and then store that One in the Fridge as well

Tips

Can buy Green Food Colouring and so can turn the Mint milk Green , do not need much - just a few drops . I did not use Green Food or Drink Colouring , because my Green Food Colouring is 4 years pasted it's used by date

Does not matter if you don't have a Food Processor or Ninja Blender etc . just infusing overnight can give a subtle milk mint flavour
