Wash and soak rice fo 30-40 minutes. After that grind it in a coarse paste. It should be grainy consistency. The grains should feel gritty between fingers. It should be like semolina. Try to avoid using water while grinding.

Heat milk in a heavy bottomed pan and bring a boil then simmer it for 10 minutes. Then add rice paste and keep stirring the mixture every couple of minutes. Else, lumps might form.

After 10-15 minutes mixture will start to thicken. Simmer for 20 minutes more or until rice cooked completely.

Add sugar and mix well till the milk thickens and turn creamy. Switch off the gas and let it cool completely.

After that add hand crushed rose patels and rose water in it. Mix well and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

Serve in a bowl and garnish with rose patels and serve chilled. Beat the heat with this lovely treat.
