Scallops with Garlic Butter

Scrub the scallop shells and open them, leaving the scallop in half of the shell. Remove the coral and stomach from the scallop, making sure it is completely clean. Rinse to remove any residue.

In a skillet, add the garlic, butter, and olive oil together. Heat the skillet over medium heat and slowly sauté the garlic until it becomes fragrant. Add and stir in the parsley. Spoon the garlic butter mixture over the scallops.

In a small bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs, parsley, paprika, and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the scallops. Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C). Bake the scallops for about 10 minutes, then set the oven to broil to brown the topping.
