Malvani Mutton

Cooking Instructions

Fry onion and coconut till brown. Grind it together with little water and keep it aside.

Heat oil in a large kadai and sauté the chopped onion.

Add tomato and let it cook.

Add ginger garlic paste and sauté it well.

Add mutton and give it a nice stir.

Add mirchi powder, Malvani masala powder, turmeric, salt and mix it well with the mutton.

Keep stirring for minimum 8-10 minutes, till oil separates.

Add 2 cups of boiling water and cover with a lid (preferably a large plate).

Pour some water on the lid and let it cook for 1 hour. (Yes, patience!!)

Keep checking at regular intervals, add little water from the lid if the mutton has become too dry.

When mutton is 90 percent cooked, add the onion and coconut paste. Adjust the gravy consistency by adding water as per need.

Let it cook for 15 mins more.

Garnish with coriander and ready to serve.
