In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, oil, baking soda, and yogurt. Mix well.

Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough. Cover with a cloth and let it rest for 2 hours.

After 2 hours, knead the dough again. Heat a skillet (tawa) on medium-high. Take a portion of dough and roll it out into your desired shape, either long or round. Brush one side lightly with water. Place the naan on the skillet with the water side down. When the top starts to dry, flip the skillet upside down over the flame to cook the naan directly over the heat until it puffs and gets brown spots. Be careful not to burn it. Brush with butter or ghee and serve hot with your favorite curry or vegetable dish.
