Simple Chicken Simmered in Soy Sauce Simple Chicken Simmered in Soy Sauce
This is something I often ate that was made by my mother. When she taught me the recipe I found that it was simple and was just a matter of putting everything into a pot and stewing.Make sure to use crystal rock sugar (this recipe won't work well with other types of sugar).1 cup of sugar might make the dish a bit too sweet, since the flavour should be subtle. I use about 3/4 cup but you can adjust the amount to your preference.I recommend making the dishes described in the recipe in this order:Chicken -> daikon radish and thick fried tofu -> taro roots and konnyaku. For 4 servings. Recipe by Meso cookpad.japan -
Simmered Chicken & Daikon Radish Simmered Chicken & Daikon Radish
Whenever I buy daikon, I make simmer dishes. I thought it would be delicious with chicken, and after trying out various dishes I arrived to this flavor. This is my family's standard side dish.Parboiling the daikon helps eliminate the smell and preserves its shape. While the daikon is still hard, add the ★ ingredients, cover with a lid and simmer on low heat.Using honey instead of sugar gives a nice glossy look and is very delicious.I use half-cuts of daikon bought from the supermarket. Simmered Chicken and Bamboo Shoots Simmered Chicken and Bamboo Shoots
My mother sent me bamboo shoots, which in Japan are thought of as spring vegetable. My meat-loving husband prefers this dish with meat instead of bonito flakes or wakame seaweed, so I make it with meat first for my family. Please add the soy sauce at the very end. Please adjust the amount of chicken depending on the size of it. I used 1/2 chicken thigh in the picture. Snow peas or green beans will add nice colours to the dish Please make sure to use parboiled bamboo shoots. Recipe by Necchan cookpad.japan -

Classic Simmered Chicken Giblets Classic Simmered Chicken Giblets
Chicken giblets are very nutritious!!This is my mother's recipe, but I had never made it before. When I finally challenged myself to make it, I was surprised by how delicious it was!As long as you diligently remove the sinews and blood beforehand, the giblets won't be stinky at all.If you don't like ginger or are tired of it, try the butter flavored version of this. It's at. Recipe by gambee cookpad.japan
