Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add onions and cumin seeds to it..

Add the ginger garlic paste to it..

Then add the chana daal to it and fry..

Then add the rice to it..

Add the salt, coriander powder and garam masala powder and mix well...

Now add some water and close the lid of the cooker..

Cook for two whistles..

Then put off the flame and serve with chutney..
