#father
Dad's Favourite Recipes. My father's first choice of tea in every winters. Onion Chai is also known as Shir Chai or Gulabi Chai or Kashmiri Tea or Pink Tea. Onion Chai intake increases in winter particularly in rural regions for giving warmth. In this Tea, Baking Soda is added along with Green tea, which reacts and makes the tea Red in colour. Onion chai is made from special tea leaves, milk, salt, and it is cooked in a Kashmiri Samovar. Onion Chai is refreshing in the heat and resists the cold in winters. It is believed to have digestive properties, possibly because of soda bicarbonate content.

Guess u are not from kashmir. Otherwise you'ld have known no sugar is added in noon chai...just salt and thus the name (noon means salt). Plus what you added is baking powder i guess as per the picture you have added. Lastly noon chai looks cmpltly pink not the colour yours has become.
