In a pressure cooker, take oil once hot add cumin seeds.

Next add onion and bay leaf, on a medium flame let the onion become light brown

Now add all the vegetables except tomatoes. Cook for 5 mins

Add tomatoes and rice, give a mix.

Next goes in red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, maggi masala, salt to taste. Mix well.

Add one glass of water, give one boil then close the cooker with the lid. Give one whistle on a high flame and then reduce thr flame to low, give 2 whistles and put the gas off.

Let the cooker cool on it's own. Serve hot with raita, pickle and papad.
