Soak urad daal for 4 to 5 hours. Blend it into a smooth batter and whisk it for a few minutes with hand whisker.

Then add cumin seeds beaten coriander seeds, coriander leaves mint leaves, chopped onion, chopped green chilli, salt to taste, red chilli powder.

Mix all the ingredients well. Take a kadhai add oil and heat it well.

Make roundels of the mixture and slightly flatten the vadas. Make a hole with your finger on it.

Keep fry the vada on a medium flame till golden brown. Keep aside.

For sambhar: Soak toor daal for half an hour. Then cook it for 2 whistles in a pressure cooker by adding salt to taste and 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder.

Then take a kadai. Add oil. Then add mustard seeds curry leaves and chopped green chilli. Let it be spultter.

Then add chopped onion and fry till pinkish brown. Then add veggies of your own choice. Saute them for few mintues.

Then add salt red chilli powder turmeric powder. Mix well. Cook it properly by covering it.

After cook properly mashed veggies with the help of masher.

Then add cooked daal and mix well. Cook it properly.

After cooking properly add sambhar masala and coriander leaves for garnishing.

Add vadas in this hot sambhar. Soak for 2 to 3 mintues.

Then serve hot with south indian chutneys.
