Ingredients

45 minutes
  • 3 1/2 oz (100 grams)cabbage
  • 3 1/2 oz (100 grams)bell pepper
  • 3 1/2 oz (100 grams)carrot
  • 4green chilies
  • 2onions
  • 2 tablespoonsall-purpose flour (about 16 grams)
  • 2 tablespoonscornstarch (about 16 grams)
  • 1 teaspoonred chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonchili sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoonsoy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoonvinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoonred food coloring
  • 1/2 teaspoonMSG (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoonred chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoonsManchurian spice mix
  • Salt to taste

Steps

45 minutes
  1. 1

    First, grate the cabbage, bell pepper, and carrot. Add the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, red chili powder, and half a teaspoon of red food coloring. Mix well and deep fry in oil until golden brown.

    Next, heat a wok or large skillet and add a little oil. Sauté the onions, cabbage, carrot, and red chili for 5 minutes. Then add the fried Manchurian balls, chili sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, MSG (optional), Manchurian spice mix, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and add 1/2 cup water.

    Now, mix 2 tablespoons cornstarch with a little water and add it to the Manchurian. Mix well. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
