Ammijaan's Peela Shorba or Mutton Stew

#Np
#cookpadindia
This is a very healthy and a simple Mutton Stew to put it in straight words. Peela refers to the Yellow colour in Urdu. And this Peela Shorba is the most sought after simple and easy comfort food in times of Cold and Flu in my maternal home to date. It was and is still made by my mother everytime we fall sick. The only difference now being that it's made for her grand children as well. Ammi refers to my mom and I would love to dedicate this recipe to her. This Stew gives an instant energy after you recover from a bad cold and fever and do not feel like eating at all. This Stew along with simple homemade Rotis will definitely make you happy and feel better and energetic. As a matter of fact, this can be made and relished on any day for the whole family. It's a perfect one and is always my go to dish whenever I prefer something simple and that which is lighter on tummy also.
Happy Cooking Everyone!

Steps
- 1
Wash and clean Mutton Bone-in thoroughly with enough water. Marinate it with all the rest of the ingredients mentioned for an hour. To a Pressure Cooker add Oil and saute the chopped Onions until translucent. Add chopped Coriander Leaves too.
- 2
After done, add the marinated Mutton Bone-in along with 4 cups of water. Pressure cook for 8-10 whistles or more as required.
- 3
Open the lid only after the pressure settles down. Adjust Salt according to taste and garnish with some more of the freshly chopped Coriander Leaves. Serve hot with homemade Phulkas or Rotis. Enjoy!
- 4
Nothing more! Nothing less! That's it. It's as simple as that. This Peela Shorba is on the thinner side only. It's not thick nor semi thick. Enjoy it with Rotis all broken into pieces and added to it. See to it that it's nicely dipped in the bowl and eaten. Happy Eating!
