This chatpati chutney is made giving twist to the wellknown tempting Bengali Tomato dates chutney. I have skipped dates, aampapad, and used very low quantity of sugar here. Very easy, very very tasty..Must try.

This chatpati chutney is made giving twist to the wellknown tempting Bengali Tomato dates chutney. I have skipped dates, aampapad, and used very low quantity of sugar here. Very easy, very very tasty..Must try.
Steps

Mix methi, kalaunji, mustard, Saunf and cumin seeds of 1/4 tsp each and make panchforan. Wash and chop tomatoes, peel and chop bananas.

Add oil in a pan, add panchforan and whole red chillies. Once splutters add tomatoes and let it cook for a minute. Add bananas.

Add all spices, cover and cook. Add jaggery, once tomatoes are cooked. Add lime juice. Let it cook on medium flame for 2-3 minutes.

It can be stored in fridge for a month. Enjoy this delicious chutney with paratha/thepla/rice/roti..
