I have been waiting for these treats to be made again since the 1970's. Now it's up to my daughters to carry on the legacy of these donut drops. #heirloom

Ingredients

  1. 2 cupssifted flour
  2. 1/3 cupsugar
  3. 3 tspbaking powder
  4. 1 tspsalt
  5. 1 tspnutmeg
  6. 1egg slighty beaten
  7. 3/4 cupmilk
  8. 3 Tbscanola oil
  9. oil for frying
  10. dropsConfectioners sugar and or cinnamon sugar to cover donut

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Sift dry ingredients. Add in egg, milk, and oil. Stir until smooth.

  2. 2

    Heat 1 inch of oil in a frying pan to 365 degrees. Drop tsp. size donut drops into hot oil. Cook until golden brown.

    Remove from pan and set aside on paper towel to drain. Roll in your choice of sugar.

I am not sure why, but mine were too salty and a horrible texture. Not a good combination for me
