Ingredients: 2 plates cooked white rice (leftover rice, put in the refrigerator for the night, is recommended); 8 pcs bacon, cut into small pieces; 3 cloves garlic, minced; 150 gr kimchi, cut into small pieces; 2 tbsp soy sauce; 1/4 tsp salt or to taste; 1/4 tsp ground white pepper or to taste; 3 eggs; 1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil for frying eggs

3 years ago my daughter and I took a trip to South Korea 🇰🇷 We spent a lot of time tasting different kinds of ‘street food’. Bacon Kimchi Fried Rice was one of our favorite ones. The sourness of the kimchi combined with the crispy bacon is just perfect! 😋

Ingredients

2plates cooked white rice (leftover rice, put in the refrigerator for the night, is recommended)
8 pcsbacon, cut into small pieces
3 clovesgarlic, minced
150 grkimchi, cut into small pieces
2 tbspsoy sauce
1/4 tspsalt or to taste
1/4 tspground white pepper or to taste
3eggs
1/2 tablespoonvegetable oil for frying eggs

Steps

In a skillet, fry the bacon. Allow it to render and become crisp. Take it out of the wok and set aside. Discard the oil. Reserving 1 tbsp in the pan.

Saute garlic until fragrant.

Add the kimchi and it’s water.

Add the fried bacon. Stir well.

Add the white rice.

Season with soy sauce, salt, and ground pepper. Stir well. Adjust to taste.
Remove from the heat. Place it on serving plates.

Fry the eggs according to your taste. Remove from the heat. Place them on top of fried rice. Serve immediately. Yum! 😋
