Ingredients

1 hour
4-6 servings
  1. 1/4 cupmoong daal
  2. 1/2 cupmasoor daal
  3. 1 tspred Chilli powder
  4. 1/2 tsphaldi powder
  5. 1 tspSalt
  6. 2 cupsWater
  7. 1small tomato finely chopped
  8. 2green chillies chopped
  9. 1 tspGinger garlic paste
  10. For baghaar: 1 medium onion sliced
  11. 2 clovesgarlic chopped
  12. 1 tspwhite zeera
  13. 2 tbspGhee
  14. Fresh coriander for garnish

  1. 1

    In a pot put both pulses,water, spices and chopped tomatoes.

  2. 2

    Let the daal cook in this water,once it is nicely cooked and consistency is smooth add green chillies.

  3. 3

    Adjust salt,put baghar and garnish with dhania.

  4. 4

    For baghaar: in a pan add ghee, onions,once they turn light brown ads zeera and garlic. Fry fora while and pour over daal.

  5. 5

    Serve with achaar,kachumar and roti or rice.
