First wash the rice well for 2 to 3 times.Rinse it well.Soak it in fresh water as needed for 15 minutes.

Once done take a deep pot or pan,add rice along with water.Add 5 to 6 cups of water.The soaked water can be used.

Cook it on medium to high heat.Occasionly stir and check.

Cook the rice till the rice is soft and cooked well. Add salt(optional).

Once the rice is cooked well. Strain the water from rice.

The hot boiled rice is ready to be served with dal,curd,raita,sabzi,Chile,rajma etc
