Steps

Wash and soak the dals for 4 hours.

In a mixture grind chillies, ginger and coconut.

Remove water from the daal and grind it coarsely and remove it in a vessel(add spoonful of water if required).

Keep the oil for heating.

Beat the daal batter for 10-15 mins till it becomes fluffy (add eno if you want).

Put little little portion of batter in hot oil and let it cook on slow flame till it is golden brown.

Remove it from oil once it turns golden brown from all the sides.

Serve it hot with green chutney and ketchup (slices of onion with salt and lemon).
