Sukha Mutton (Dry Mutton)

Mutton can be prepared in many ways, often with different types of gravy. But today, I made dry mutton without any gravy, using my simple method. It turned out really well.

Mutton can be prepared in many ways, often with different types of gravy. But today, I made dry mutton without any gravy, using my simple method. It turned out really well.

First, clean and wash the mutton. In a blender, make a paste of garlic, ginger, green chilies, dried red chilies, and 2 onions. Heat oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat. Add whole garam masala, let it sizzle, then add the sliced onions and fry. Add the mutton and stir well.

After 2-3 minutes, add the garlic-ginger paste to the mutton and sauté for 5 minutes. Once the paste is cooked, add all the powdered spices and sauté for 10 minutes, stirring. Add water if needed.

When the mutton is more than halfway cooked, add the yogurt and cook on medium heat for another 5 minutes. Then cover and let it cook. When the water has evaporated and the mutton is fully cooked, turn off the heat. Place the mutton in a serving dish and garnish with cilantro. Serve hot with roti or as a snack.

This is a very simple and delicious mutton dish. It is cooked thoroughly with all the spices and kept dry without any gravy, which is why it's called Sukha Mutton. Make sure to sauté the mutton well with the spices.
