Ingredients

  1. For Pakodas
  2. 1cauliflower
  3. 1 cupmoong dal flour
  4. 1/4 cupcornflour
  5. 1 tspginger-garlic paste
  6. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  7. as requiredwater
  8. to tastesalt
  9. as requiredMustard oil for frying
  10. For Manchurian gravy
  11. 1onion - finely chopped
  12. 2 tbspspring onion - chopped
  13. 2 tbspgarlic - chopped
  14. 1green chilli -slit
  15. 1 tspginger-garlic paste
  16. 1 tspred chilli sauce
  17. 1 tspsoy sauce
  18. 1 tspwhite vinegar
  19. 1 tsptomato ketchup
  20. 1 tspred chilli powder
  21. 1 tbspcornflour
  22. 1 tbspoil
  23. to tastesalt
  24. as required water
  25. as per tastespring onion green - for garnishing
  26. as required sesame seeds - for garnishing

Steps

  1. 1

    Take 3 cups of water in a pan and boil it. Blanch the cauliflower for 2 minutes. Take it out on a plate.

    Take moong dal flour, cornflour, salt,ginger-garlic paste, and red chilli powder in a bowl.
    Mix well. Add enough water to make a medium-thick batter.

    Heat oil in a wok.
    Dip the cauliflower florets in the batter and deep fry pakodas on medium flame.

    Crisp pakodas are ready. Take it out on a plate.

  5. 5

    For gravy, heat oil in a pan and add garlic and green chilli. Saute for a few seconds.

  6. 6

    Add onion and spring onion green. Mix well and saute for a minute on low flame.

  7. 7

    Now add ginger-garlic paste and red chilli sauce. Mix well.

  8. 8

    Then add soy sauce, vinegar and tomato ketchup. Mix well.

  9. 9

    Add salt and red chilli powder. Saute for few seconds.

  10. 10

    Take cornflour in a bowl and add 2 tbsp water. Mix well. Pour it in a pan and mix well so that there are no lumps.

    Add water as required to make thick gravy and cook for a minute.

    Now add pakodas in the gravy and toss well.
    Sprinkle spring onion greens and sesame seeds. Serve hot with noodles or fried rice.
