Ingredients

1 hour approx
as required
  • 1/2 cup maida
  • 2-3 tbspcurd
  • 1 pinchbaking soda
  • as neededRed/yellow food colour
  • 2 tbspcornflour
  • as requiredWater
  • For sugar syrup
  • 1 cupsugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 pinchcardomom powder
  • strandsFew saffron

    In a bowl, add maida, baking soda, cornflour, 1/4th tsp food colour & mix it well. Now add curd & 2 tbsp of water and whisk it well to form a semi-thick batter...

    Now cover it and rest it for 15 mins. Now for sugar syrup, take a kadai or deep vessel, add a cup of sugar, now add half cup of water. Now wait for sometime, until the sugar dissolves and let it boil for about 5 mins., now switch of the flame. You just need to dissolve the sugar, don't concentrate on 1 string or 2 string consistency...

    Now fill the batter in a piping bag. Make a cut on the tip of it with a small scissor. Heat a pan & pour some ghee in it. Once the ghee turns hot, make swirls to form jalebis. Add & soak them to the syrup and quickly remove them.

    Now sprinkle some kesar over it. Serve these hot jalebis with prior prepared cold rabri...
