Moong dal dhokla
A very light, healthy snack.
Steps
- 1
Soak the moong dal for 3-4 hrs. Grind it to a smooth fine paste.
- 2
In a bowl add the moong dal batter, green chillies - ginger paste. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, curd. Mix well.
- 3
Now take a steamer, add water and allow it to boil. Now add the eno sachet (you can use lemon flavor eno also, but I have used a plain one) and mix well. Grease a plate and pour the batter. Steam it for approximately 10-12 minutes.
- 4
Remove the plate, allow it to cool. Now in a wok heat oil, crackle the mustard seed, then add green chillies and curry leaves. Add 1/2 glass of water to the seasoning and sugar. Allow the seasoning to boil.
- 5
With a knife cut in squares and pour the seasoning over the dhokla and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve with chutney and tea.
