Barnyan millet is a seed ,which is very easily available in Indian stores.It is quite small in size and round in shape,almost similar to thick semolina.🍚

This samak ke chawal ki khichdi is an easy recipe. You just have to saute the samo in the tempering. You can add boiled potatoes, peanut, cashew to the khichdi. add water ,fresh herbs and spices and cook till done .🥄

It is a complex carbs and rich in fiber so can be easily used on daily basis.It absorb a good quantity of water so is quite filling.🍽️

Steps

Chop potato, tomato, green chili, ginger.

Roast peanut and cashew in ghee.

In a kadhai add ghee, jeera, ginger, chilli and curry leaves.

Add tomato and saute till it softens.

Add the potatoes and then salt. Cook for some time. Add little water.

Then add the rice and paneer and pour 1 cup water. Let it boil.

When water dries up, add the roasted cashew and peanut. Give it a nice mix. Add little lemon juice.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with raita.
