Sloe fruit soda

Bit of an experiment, this one. I've not made a fermented fruit soda before. I stared out with a ginger bug, as per this recipe: https://cookpad.wasmer.app/uk/recipes/2747117-ginger-bug

It's still fermenting, so lets see what happens. Also, it's not really an exact science, so I added all the ingredients by taste and took it from there. Fingers crossed!

Side note – my ginger bug had gone a bit gloopy. Apparently this can point to lambic fermentation, so it may take a little longer to ferment out. Should be fine though :)

Ingredients

  1. 250 mlsloe coulis
  2. Water
  3. Ginger bug
  4. Brown sugar

Cooking Instructions

    Get some of your sloe coulis, see this recipe: https://cookpad.wasmer.app/uk/recipes/13877675-sloe-coulis?via=profile

    It's quite thick, so add some water to dilute it a bit.

    Pour in about 1/2 a cup of your ginger bug

  4. 4

    Add a few spoons of brown sugar

  5. 5

    Put a porous covering on top, and leave to ferment for a while
