Mumbai style batate pohe
This is all time breakfast made at many homes across our country. This is a look simple to cook, yes...but to get to that proper soft, moist levels feel are several tricks. Hope you all like and make it.
Steps
- 1
Firstly take around 2 cups of poha and rinse it properly in water. Use the chalni to wash the poha. Please do not soak the poha
- 2
Then take a kadai, heat it and add to it 2 tbsp of oil. When oil gets hot add to it mustard seeds, zeera, cut green chillies and coriander. After they splutter add the cut onion to it and stir it nice. To this add half TSP of haldi powder, salt, sugar and sliced thin potatoes. Cover this kadai with a lid and add water to the lid. Otherwise, if you don't add water and simply cover the poha and onions will get burned.
- 3
When you see the water on the cover has evaporated and steam coming out, open the cover and stir the poha nice. Squeeze half a lemon to the poha mixture.
- 4
Remove from gas and garnish with coconut and coriander leaves.
