Ribeye steak

My husband recently had his birthday and requested surf and turf.
We got some ribeye steak as from our local butchers.
The steak was seasoned with salt and pepper and served medium rare.
It was super delicious and tasty along with my homemade triple cooked chips and a side of greens.
I hope you enjoy cooking and eating this as much as we do.

Steps
- 1
Take the steak out of the fridge and let it rest at room temperature for 40 minutes to 1 hour.
- 2
Season steak on both sides with salt and pepper.
- 3
Heat a griddle pan or normal pan on high heat. Then add olive oil. Place both steaks in the pan.
- 4
Cook the steak, turning frequently until dark crusts have formed on both sides. Once steak is cooked to desired preference, immediately remove from heat. Tip: rare is about 4 minutes, 5-6 minutes for medium and 8-10 minutes for well done.
- 5
Transfer steaks onto a baking tray and let it rest for about 5 minutes, covering with foil before serving. Serve steak with any choice of sides like chips and greens and sauce (optional).
