Kerala Style Veg Biryani

Kerala is famous for its Chicken Biriyani especially Talshery Biriyani. Biriyani was invented for the slaves who cannot get a elaborated meals. Today biriyani is loved by everyone. It's a one pot meal. This biriyani is made with kaima rice which is quite popular in Kerala.

Steps

Take a ghee in the rice cooker. Once ghee is hot add all whole masala. Saute for some time.

Wash the rice and drain the water properly. Add this rice into the cooker and roast it. Add salt

While rice is roasting. Take a another pan. Add oil. Once oil is hot add all vegetables, green chutney, garam masala, turmeric and salt. Let it cook for some time. Don't overcook it.

Vegetables is ready. Add water in the rice. Close the cooker and let it cook.

Don't overcook rice. Once you see that rice is about to cook. Spread the vegetables on that equally. Close the cooker again for some time.

Mix it gently. Sprinkle with some fried onion and mint leaves. Close the cooker again and let cook on warm mode for some 15-20 minutes. Serve with raita and papad.
