Galbo-Like Baked Chocolate Cookie

I love galbo and wanted to try making it myself.

If you like a slightly harder feel then don't use the starch and just use 2 tablespoons of cake flour.
In step 3 if you take too long making them the dough becomes sticky and sticks to your hand. Even if you don't have nice shapes, at any rate the sooner you get them on the baking pan the better. You'll end up with beautiful shapes anyway. Recipe by Suzu0528

Steps

  1. 1

Cut up the chocolate bar, and melt in the microwave. Should take about 2 minutes.

  2. 2

Add the cake flour and katakuriko, and use a large curry spoon,or something similar, to mix in a rolling motion (you don't have to sift the flour).

  3. 3

Use your hands to quickly make round shapes and place on a baking sheet-covered baking pan. I made oval shapes like the galbo candy.

  4. 4

Cook in your preheated oven at 160°C for 13 to 15 minutes and it's complete.
