Place the sliced onion in the slow cooker, add a rack, and set the pork on top. Add the salt, rosemary, garlic, barbecue sauce, and cola.

Cover and cook on low for 12 hours.

After cooking, remove the pork and shred it with two forks. Blend the contents of the slow cooker (it's fine if there are some chunks), then mix the shredded pork with the sauce. Serve, for example, on hamburger buns.
