Wash black rice thoroughly for 2 to 3 times and soak for 2 hours. This rice takes a little longer time to cook so you can cook it in a pressur cooker upto 4 whistle to save time.

In a heavy bottomed pan add milk and give it a boil then add soked black rice and cook in for 45 minutes to 1 hour in medium flame while stirring occasionally.

When milke reduce to half add sugar and boil for more 5 to 10minutes or till the rice cook properly.

Now add cardamom powder and fried dry fruits into kheer and after 1 more minutes switch off the stove, now kheer is ready serve it hot or cold according to your choice.
