This is a basic, rustic and yummy recipe. You can have it with chapatis or even rice. It is a favourite meal had all over Maharashtra. This makes for a absolute must have.

Cut the onions, spring onions. Cut and slit the green chillies.

Take a kadai and heat it on low. Then add oil to it. When oil heats add the garlic pieces, when the garlic gets brown add the cut onions and saute.

Then add the slit green chillies, spring onion greens and turmeric powder, salt and saute all this together for 2, 3minutes.

After this add the besan and water solute to this and stir, then add the jaggery and stir all this.

When you see bubbles in the pithla

Cover with a steel cover for a minute

Immediately remove the cover and stir

You will see it cooking and steam coming out. Switch off the gas

Remove from gas. Squeeze a lemon and mix. Then add ghee. Serve it hot.
