Ingredients

35-45 mins
2-4 people
  1. 200-250gms. Raw Papaya: Thinly Sliced or Finely Grated
  2. 1/4 tspSalt
  3. 1 CupSugar
  4. 1 CupWater
  5. 1/4-1/2Cashews: Broken into 2/4 halves or Whole
  6. A fewSaffron Strands: Optional
  7. 1/4 tspRose/Kewra Water: Optional

Steps

35-45 mins
  1. 1

    First up: Finely & Thinly Slice or Grate the Raw Papaya- That’s need to be well washed, Cleaned & its seeds are all scoured through, before slicing it finely & thinly

    In a saucepan: Add in the measured water & sugar proportions- Allow it to melt down & get blended a bit with everything, at this point- Add in the saffron strands (if you choose to), mix everything well together again

    Then, add in the sliced/grated papaya to it & allow it to boil & cook along with the sugar syrup for its finest textures, tastes & of course looks

    Cover it & let it cook for about 10-15 mins time, stirring occasionally in between to checkout the doneness of the same until it’s completely done, add in the whole or halved/chopped cashews- mix well

    Once done: Turn off the flame and allow it to sit on the hot oven with its lid on for the next 3-5 mins time before transferring it to an airtight container, for its proper storage

    After transferring it to an airtight container for its storing purpose: in the refrigerator- Allow it to cool down completely & then put on its airtight cover well for its better storage & longer shelf life

    It can be stored in the fridge for at least 8-10 days, could be more even but actually it gets over much earlier in almost all families without a single doubt about it Enjoy this finest, tasty, sweet delectable delicacy in your meal & make it a part of your very meal, as & when it’s possible
