Mushroom Matar

Mushroom Matar is a delicious north Indian curry made using fresh mushrooms and green peas. It pairs well with any Naan , paratha or phulka roti.
The base of this curry is made with tomato and onion which is spiced with simple spices, making it apt form your everyday meals. The addition of cream and Kasuri methi, in the end, gives it a creamy and rich taste, which is hard to resist.
This dish is one of my family favourite and I have served it with phulka roti . Lets head right to the kitchen and try the delicious recipe.

Mushroom Matar is a delicious north Indian curry made using fresh mushrooms and green peas. It pairs well with any Naan , paratha or phulka roti.

First of all nicely wash mushrooms and cut in big chunks, make paste of onion and tomatoes separately in blender.

Now in wok on medium heat pour ghee and then add in cumin seeds and the whole garam masala, let it crackel them add onion paste to the wok, keep stirring till the onion paste changes in to light brown.

After that add ginger garlic paste to the onion sauté for 1 min then add in the tomato paste, mix well and then then add salt, coriander, turmeric,red chilli powder to the paste, mix and cover the wok and time to time sauté it till the ghee separates.

Now when ghee get separated from the masala then will add green peas (matar) and mushrooms to the masala mix nicely if needed give 1/4 cup water. Cover it and cook for to minutes.

After 10 minutes add fresh cream, kasuri methi garam masala powder and chopped coriander leaves, mix well, cover and cook for another 5-6 minutes.

Finally mushroom matar is ready to serve. I have served it with phulka roti and salad.enjoy the restaurant flavour dish right in your sweet home with the magic of your hand.
