Steps
- 1
Wash the strawberries and remove stems, then wrap with red bean paste.
- 2
Put the cut mochi in a flat bowl, and add enough hot water to cover it. Microwave for about 1 minute at 600 W.
- 3
Keep 2 ~ 3 teaspoons of hot water, and drain the rest. Add the sugar, and mix and knead with a spoon.
- 4
If it's not mixing well, microwave for another 20 seconds, and mix some more. If it needs more water, add some before microwaving.
- 5
Divide the mochi into 2 pieces and wrap the red bean paste balls from Step 1. Roll them into balls while coating with katakuriko.
