Steps

Heat up on medium flame. Sautee onion, then ginger and garlic paste until fragrant. Add finely diced pepper and sautee for another minute.

Add water enough to cook the rice and bring to a rolling boil. Add washed rice and peas (if using fresh peas). Add salt and seasoning to taste. Stir and cover with a lid. Cook rice until tender. Add carrot and parsley at the last 2-3 minutes of cooking the rice.

Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with spring onion. Serve with stew or sauce of choice.
