To prepare the dough: Combine the warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Mix well and let sit for 5 minutes until the yeast activates. Add the yogurt and mix. Add the oil and mix again.

Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms. You may need a little extra flour if the dough is too sticky. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.

For the filling: Sauté the onions until golden. Add the ground beef, bell pepper, and tomatoes. Stir in the pomegranate molasses (if using), spices, and salt. Cook until the mixture is well combined, then drain any excess liquid.

Shape the dough into small rounds, fill with the meat mixture, and bake in the oven for about 15 minutes until golden. Serve with ayran (yogurt drink) or a squeeze of lemon. Enjoy!
